There are many opportunities to play ultimate in Colorado Springs from pickup to club level ultimate, leagues and a developmental team.
There is pickup almost everyday of the week - here is the list of Ultimate Frisbee pickup games in Colorado Springs.
There is currently two city wide leagues open to any level of ultimate skills - Summer and Fall. Summer League registration opens in April with games on Wednesday nights going from the end of May to the beginning of August. Fall League starts in the middle of August on Saturdays.
Spring Loaded is a developmental coed team open to all. Practices are Monday nights starting at 6pm at Goose Gossage Park.
Swingline is a coed team that represents Colorado Springs at the club level with tryouts and hopes of reaching nationals.
On the College level - Colorado College and Air Force field both Men and Women's teams that are highly competitive. Colorado College represented the Springs at College Nationals in 2011.

There are also pickup games at the Air Force Academy on Tuesday and Thursday at noon. Games usually last until 1:30. The academy is open to the public, just have your driver’s license to get through the gate. Games are on the practice football field behind the cadet gym. Take North Gate Blvd. Take left on Parade loop and a right onto Field house Drive. You can park in front of the Field House and walk down to the athletic fields(map at URL above) When the weather is bad we play in the fieldhouse.
They are finally putting new top soil down at Mountain Shadows Park this week! (We might need to meet at the Agilent field on Garden of the Gods if the MSP field is unplayable due to this work.)
Would anyone like to play in Monument Valley Park, like boddington field area perhaps.
Anytime?!
Pickup every Monday and Thursday during lunchtime at Mountain Shadows Park, all year around. Warm up at noon, games start 12:15, usually play until 1:15-1:30. Mountain Shadows Park is located next to Chipeta Elementary School on Flying W Ranch Rd. 1/2 mile west of 30th street. Just up from Verizon building at end of Garden of the Gods.
Hi! Just moved here from Omaha on Tuesday, and looking to play. I see lots of traffic about different parks here..did anyone play this weekend? Just want to narrow down where to go this weekend.
Thanks!
There is lunchtime pick up at Mountain Shadows Park every Monday and Thursday, all year round. Mountain Shadows Park is just 1/2 mile west on Flying W Ranch Rd, from the intersection with 30th (just north of Garden of the Gods and 30th). It’s next to Chipeta Elementary. Warm ups start around noon, and we usually play until 1:15 or 1:30.
I have no idea how long those soccer games will go into the summer, but we’re starting pickup now. If there’s no room at Cottonwood, just go the Ford Frick Park. It’s on the corner of Lexington and Union. Here’s a map, just take the first right after passing Lexington going northeast.

Stephen, I checked Cottonwood last Sunday (May 16), but it was hugely crowded with soccer games. Was that a fluke, or will there be field space for ultimate? When do you think it’ll start up? (Both Tuesdays and Sundays.)
Thanks!
Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that there will be pick-up games at Cottonwood Creek Park on Sundays at 2 and Tuesdays at 6.
Hello Bethia,
I came from Durango, where I’d been playing ultimate for a while. Anyway, when I moved here and was looking to play pick-up last summer, I found them at Cottonwood Creek Park, on the corner of Dublin and Rangewood on Sunday afternoons.
Are there any other pick ups around town? I just moved back from lincoln where i participated in L.U.D.A and we had a pretty thriving league but i’ve had trouble finding a weekly thing here. Is there anything besides Sundays at Bear Creek? that’s a wee bit far for me, anything during the week?
Thanks
This post is brilliant and so are you. Good job!
